Networking.Is there a registry hack or something I can fire off as a PowerShell script that will force the machine in question to make Chrome the default browser for the designated user rather than Edge? I end up right back on the Windows 10 Default apps page in the Settings area and that doesn't allow me to make the change. I have seen tech board options where they advise going through the Control Panel using the control.exe command and then using Default Programs > Set your default programs but my screen does not show the list of applications to pick from. Edge remains as the default choice regardless of what I do. When I click the option to change the default browser from Edge, the options for Chrome and Internet Explorer appear and I can click the Chrome choice, but nothing happens. Working on a Windows 10 laptop (Lenovo E580) and I cannot make the OS accept changing the default browser for the designated user that will assigned the device, even when they are logged in with local admin rights.
